Bridges Academy Seattle

Purpose

Bridges Academy was created to serve students who are twice-exceptional — gifted students who also have learning differences. Bridges meets all sets of needs by providing an exciting, stimulating curriculum and supporting the social-emotional needs of diverse learners.

Bridges Academy Seattle seeks to address these needs and support this population of students in the Greater Seattle Area.

Vision

Bridges seeks to bring a greater pedagogical focus on cognitive diversity and strength-based learning to the Pacific Northwest. We aim to unlock the potential of the amazing minds of these learners so that they may become architects of their own lives and the future, contributing to society, culture, and community.

Location

We are pleased to announce that we have secured a site for the school! It will be located at 2706 S. Jackson St. in Seattle, where the Seattle Girls School currently resides. Read more about our future home here.

Seattle is a hub for a new center of twice-exceptional education. The area features amazing minds, businesses, and creativity.
Bridges Academy Seattle will be the premier 2e school in the region and will be positioned to partner with public and private schools, plus other area organizations working with 2e students.

Program

Bridges Academy Seattle will offer enriched programming that addresses students’ interests, strengths, and talents as well as their learning challenges. This established, evidence-based approach has been developed and used at Bridges Academy Los Angeles for more than 20 years.

While the Seattle program will be unique, for insights into our approach, please refer to our Los Angeles-based school: Learn more about the Bridges Academy high school, middle school, and Phoenix programs
